DRIED APPLES
This is something that you need to make at home before the event.
How ever the dried apples make for a quick snack out of your haversack when on the move.
You will need a food dehydrator.
Take some apples and wash them.
Leave the skin on the apple.
Slice them in to quarters and remove the core and seeds.
Cut the quarters down to about 1/8 in slices.
Place in your food dehydrator and dry the apples according to the instructions of your food dehydrator.
Dry the apples up till they are some what crisp.
The moister in the air will soften the apple slices some in your haversack
Warning if you dry the apples to the point that they are too crispy they will crush before you can eat them.
Place the dried apples slices in to a period cloth rations bag enjoy your period snack at your event
